How can I get a refund for my Holonym KYC or phone verification?

If your transaction failed in February 2025 due to the Holonym bug, you have a few different options:

  1. You can try to reverify. There's a chance that the fee from your first failed transaction might automatically apply to the reverification.

  2. If that doesn't work, or you'd prefer a refund, you can follow the steps in this guide.

  3. If that doesn't work, then you can open up a support ticket on the Holonym Discord for the team to issue you a manual refund.

Step 3: Find the "Eligible for Refund" Label

Once you're on the page, locate the "Eligible for Refund" label next to your cards.

Step 4: Click on the Refund Label

Click on the "Eligible for Refund" label to access the refund page.

Step 5: Complete the Refund Process

Follow the on-screen instructions to finalize your refund.

Important Notes

Issuer Risk Fees: Please be aware that issuer risk fees have been deducted from your refund amount. These fees cover gas and verification costs and are non-refundable. They help prevent spam attacks.
